Martha's Garden in June

 Hello everyone,
We had a beautiful sunny warm day today and I enjoyed getting some projects done the last couple of days. This evening I took a few pictures in Martha's Garden as the four Deutiza's are starting to bloom in there.
The Geurney's Cream clematis is putting on a lovely show over the arbor.
The white umbrella that I added the lace edge trim to looks pretty and provides some share while relaxing and enjoying the song of the finches that like to build a nest in the Deitiza's.
There are still lots of lilacs blooming so I picked a big bouquet.
Peeking over the fence.

The deutiza has such pretty dainty white flowers.
The white bleeding heart is enjoying a shady spot under the shade of the service berry tree.
Climbing hydrangea growing up the back of our barn.
My Dad's old bicycle has a bouquet of lilacs too and always has a spot in our garden.

Has anyone noticed the barn has been painted from green to brown. Andrew and I and a couple of our girls painted it one day last week.
Martha's Garden is a mainly white garden but a few other colors have found their way in.

This is Martha herself still carrying her jugs of water for the garden!
We enjoy the sound of water in this little secluded garden  from the wall fountain .
 A different perspective.
I hope you enjoyed a little tour of Martha's Garden.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Country Days

Hello Everyone,
I am a country girl and I enjoy going for a drive through the countryside of our little Island(Prince Edward Island) at any time of the year. In June everything is particularly lush and green. We did have a great crop of dandelions this year but the season for them is already pretty much passed.
I grew up on a farm so they still appeal to me and I love to see the baby animals in the spring.

I love this farm home.
The rolling hillside of New Glasglow.
Another nice farm.
Gotta love this country mailbox!
Or how about this unique display?
I used to have a horse when I was a teenager so I am always drawn to them when we go for a country drive.

I love the apple blossoms against the weathered shingles.

And here is a bouquet for you from our country garden.

Enjoy your day!

Cottage Living

Hello everyone,
It was a cold  and windy day here and  now it is raining as well. We do need the rain but I will be happy to have it warm up again. Anyway,it is time for tea so we can enjoy it in the little gardener's cottage today-which is actually more of a  little playhouse for me.It has been fun to decorate it with yardsale/ thrift finds or freebies.

Tea in bed?
Or at the little table by the window with the lace curtains.
Of course,I had to have some lilacs bouquets in the cottage too.
And once again -it is yardsale or thrift store china.

I love the soft green color of the china with the lilacs.

The Gardener's Cottage outside.

The garden is changing everyday!

I am still enjoying my lilacs-hope you are too!

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time again today.

Thank you for visiting me.

Just Checking

 Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. I am just checking to see if the problem of fuzzy photos has been resolved. My son-in-law was just here and he showed me another way of uploading my pics from the web instead of emailing them over and I wanted to check it out. So you are being bombarded with more lilac pics!

I think this is going to work-thanks Michael!

Thanks for checking it out!

Blooming in the Garden Now

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I love taking some photos after a garden tour because the garden has been whipped into shape and I have a little more free time.
As you can see everything is lush and green now but there is a little lag between the spring show of tulips, daffodils etc. and the perennials. The early peonies are starting to bloom and the lupins as well.
There are lots of alliums in bloom scattered throughout the garden.

The Guernsey Cream clematis is starting to bloom.
This is a new one putting on a little show.
The tree peonies are starting to open their buds.
Immortality Iris is blooming and it will bloom again later-a nice bonus!
I love the lupins and they grow wild here along the roadside.
The Guernsey Cream again.
The Primrose Lilac- it has  yellow buds when it first comes out and then changes to white.
Alliums
Beauty of Moscow-you can see we had a sunny day today.
This is the Sensation Lilac but the tree has one light pink bloom on it too-I have never seen this before.
I want to thank all of you who gave me advise on other ways of putting my photos on as they have become fuzzy doing the same way that has worked for years. I will get my son to see which way will work best for me-thanks again! For now, I am putting them on a little smaller to see if that is better.

Thank you for stopping by,

Carolyn
