Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Now, for all you tea lovers I have some photos for you of some of the most beautiful teacups and teapots I have ever seen. Some of you may remember a few weeks ago I shared some photos of the most amazing antique lace collection, and now from the same lovely American friend (that I  met through my blog) I have some photos of her amazing tea things to share with you.

Peek inside!
Wow!

Beautiful !!!
Many of you will recognize the beautiful Shelley teacups and teapots in the collection.

It is hard to pick favorites because they are all so beautiful-don't you agree?

It would be hard to get me away from these two  beautiful cabinets full of gorgeous china!
So pretty!
Gotta love all those pinks!

I hope you tea lovers enjoyed seeing this beautiful collection as much as I did. A big thank you to my friend for taking the time to take these pictures and send them to me and allow me to share them with you!

If you missed her beautiful antique lace collection you can see it here and more  here.

Please note that I am taking a short blogging break this week but I have posted a couple of posts ahead for you and I will be back next week, with hopefully lots to share!

Peace & Quiet

Hello Everyone,
It is cloudy and cool here today but spring is advancing as so many perennials are starting to grow. I noticed on my walk this morning that the lupins that grow wild along the roadside here are starting to pop up as well. I always look forward to their return.
It is time for a little peace and quiet so I have some tea ready in a quiet corner of our bedroom

My husband added some details to our fireplace mantel since you were here last.Did you notice the turned posts and the box above with the small pot lights. I think it adds pizazz to the mantel!

Spring tulips.

I love the soft colors of this hydrangea.

I hope you enjoy some peace and quiet in your day and have time to reflect on the blessings of  Easter.

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch today for Tablescape Thursday.

Also, joining French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday and My Romantic Home for Show & Tell .

Easter Blessings to you All!

Hello Everyone,
With the sunny days we have had lately I have been enjoying afternoon tea in our little sunroom surrounded by the happy colors of spring.
And of course some flowers and greenery add to the spring cheer.
Tulips always cheer me!

Gerbera's also add some lovely spring color.
The first blooms of spring are starting to poke through the ground.

Hope you can stay for a cup of tea!

White chocolate Easter bunny anyone?

Mosaic Monday

Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It is sunny here today and slowly warming up again so I enjoy taking a morning tour around the garden seeing all the new growth and enjoying all the birdsong!
Today,I have some pretty pastel mosaics for you.
I haven't had much time with my camera lately so some of may have seen these before.

I love all the colors of spring!

I see the lilac bushes are starting to bud so pretty soon, I will be picking bouquets again.
And of course,I can't wait to have roses again-starting in June here in our climate. We live in a zone 5b area.
Peonies are also a big part of the June garden here.
I see lots of tulips and daffodils poking up so by next month there will be lots of bouquets to be picked.

I am joining  Little Red House for Mosaic Monday today.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Garden Views

Hello everyone,
It is April already and although I am sharing some different views of our garden in all it's glory I have to confess it is still mostly shades of brown right now so not exactly photogenic just yet. The only blooms I have right now are a few snowdrops.

So I am taking you on a little tour of the garden last year.

This hillside garden will soon be covered with the cheery blooms of hundreds of daffodils but here in August the daylillies steal the show. The steps in the hillside garden are old Island sandstone that were used in the foundation of my daughters old home.
I am looking forward to color in the garden again.

My husband built this arbor many years ago.
The August garden- our most colorful month.

A shot taken from our balcony- facing south.

Also shot from the balcony but facing west.

My new camera takes video as well, so this summer I am looking forward to doing some videos and hopefully I can figure out how to put one on my blog someday.

Just a few random shots of some of our garden last year-hope you enjoy them!

Thank you for visiting me.
